    Thus it has a special meaning for my family. That said, the grounds are beautiful and night the view is fantastic. On this visit I was in town for Thanksgiving and my family went for a nice afternoon's walk around the grounds.

    Not only is this building worth seeing for its unique architecture and history, but the Cardston Temple is a place of peace. The grounds are well kept and dotted with beautiful birches, elms, ashes, and spruces. If you're looking for more information about the temple's purpose, the visitor's center by the west gate is a great resource (plus it's warm inside.) I recommend this place to everyone, whether you're sightseeing in Alberta or just looking for a peaceful place to meditate. You won't regret it!

    This is the temple in my home town. What a magnificent edifice. Every time I come home I love to see the temple. When I was growing up, I could see the temple out the kitchen window. So inspiring. And by the way, I used to deliver food to the back door of the temple.
